Thursday, Dec. 25, 1930 comes on Christmas Day, we are goâ€" ing to hold our meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 30. John Johnson was elected troop treasurer and we all agreed that we would pay 25 cents a month as dues. TROOP 48 COLLECTS MANY COAT HANGERS Last night, Dec. ‘9, all the scouts of Trocp 48 except Fred Schroeder attended the meeting. The meeting could not be held at the American Legion hall because it was being used as a post office, so we had the meeting in the ‘Halsey school basement. At 7:30 the meeting began. All had colâ€" lected coat hangers. The Wolf Patrol had 1,025 hangers and the Black Bear had 510 hangers. Mr. Roeber said he would give us all till Monday, Dec. 22 to try and get some more. A little time was taken to tie fifty hangers to a bundle. After the hangers had been attended to we all went outside to play "Capture the Flag." The ground was slippery so it was hard to run and fight on. The game soon ended though for the Wolf Patrol got the Black Bear Patrol flag, and noâ€" body knew how it happened. After the game we went inside again, Soon after that we wore dismissed by Mr. Roeber. We had some marching practice and then the Stag patrol challenged the Otters to a game of "Steal the Bacon" which the Otters won. We went to patrol corners and our patrol reports were made out. This award is given each quarter to those troops who at the end of the quarter have at least 25 per cent of their scouts of First Class rank, and not more than 40 per cent of tenderfoot rank.
