The speaker, who is a niece of the famous English actor, Sir Johnston Forbes-Robertson, and the grand- daughter of one of the best known dramatic critics of his day, Joseph Knight, S. P. A., was also an actress of note before her marriage to an American, in the companice of Sir Henry Irving and Sir Herbert Tree. For the past twenty years, Mrs. Beatrice Forbes-Robertson Hale has lectured widely both in America and in Europe, and the charm of her per- srmality, her breadth of view. and un- derstanding of human nature and the problems of every day lite, have made her famous. Wom- an’s club. _ Priest Killed in Crash Shortly After Talking to Deerfield Boy Scouts The Rev. R, J. Ashenden, head of the Catholic Youth Organization of Chicago. was killed Tuesday evening in an automobile accident when his car was hit by another auto near Northbrook. ' Father Ashendvn spoke at a meet- ing nf the Boy Scouts of the Holy Cross church of Deerfield at 8:30 Tuesday evening and was on his way to speak at Techny, when he was killed. His companions, Casey Jones 6430 Crystal street. and William. Campbell, an attorney at 175 West Jackson boulevard, both of Chicago, escaped with minor injuries. Father Ashenden, who was thirty years old, resided at 2060 Roosevelt road, Chicago. He received a skull fracture and internal injuries and died at St. Francis hospital in Ev- anston.
