L % We have studied the following artists that lived in Florence at the time of the Renaissance. Michelangelo wanted to be & sculptor, but he was assigned by the Pope to decorate the Sistine Chapel, in Rome. He also made a famous horseman which was not balanced correctly so an iron ball was placed under one of the front feet of the horse. The greatest equestrian statute was made by Verrocchio. We have also studied some imâ€" portant buildings in : Florence, the Baptistry, the Duomo, where Juliâ€" ano de Medici was killed, and the Ponte Vecchio, an old bridge cov~ ered with small shops. In the midâ€" dle of the Ponte Vecchio is an openâ€" ing where Cellini‘s bust stands. I have learned Â¥ery much in art and enjoy having it.
