The competition started when the patrol hiked into the camp grounds Saturday afternoon and continued until Sunday at 11 a.m. when the Campâ€"Oâ€"Ree was over. All patrols demonstrated unusual camping abilâ€" ity and good training. There was a wide variety of menus and methods of cooking and in camp gadgets and improvised equipment, all of which aided the most original patrols in its scoring. Mr. Spinney has been in Scouting wince he was 12 years old and reâ€" ceived his first training under Maâ€" jor George Harbaugh of Wilmette who was formerly Scoutmaster of Troop 1. Mr. Spinney has one of the finest troops in the council with a large membership of scouts and an active Troop committee which works under the direction oï¬ taihcsr Sinez. under the direction of its chairman, Mr. Frank Wilson and Mr. Spinney as Scoutmaster. ‘The parents of scouts going to Washington will know that their sons are in compeâ€" tent hands and that every precauâ€" tion will be taken by Mr. Spinney while the scouts are in his charge and that under his leadership they will have a rich experience. Mr. Clark has been in Ausâ€" tin, Texas this year and has organâ€" ized a scout troop there. He will have lots of stories to tell and his knowledge of scouting will be an inâ€" ‘valuable aid in the direction of the Jamboree Scouts in their activities at Washington. Chuck will be back at Maâ€"Kaâ€"Jaâ€"Wan for the second and third periods after the Jamboree is over and will retell many of the experiences at the caimpfire. Scouts Returning on Winnebage The scouts returning from Camp Maâ€"Kaâ€"Jaâ€"Wan will return via the Winnebago instead of the Fiambeau as originally announced. This is the same train as the scouts used last year and arrives in Highland Park at 9:21 p.m. Daylight Saving Time, leaving Antigo at 12:45 D.8.T. The Flambeau does not get into Highâ€" land Park until too late to make it practical for the scouts.
