Seven years ago the eighth grade class felt a need for a school paper. Out of ‘this need was born "The Highway." Each succeeding class has continued with its publication to the best of its ability. The present class has pledged itself to carry on. We ask your coâ€"operation; pupils, teachers and parents. It can‘t be a success without you. We will do our best to get out the Highway the last Friday of each month. A girls chorus and a boys chorus has been organized instead of the mixed Gle eclub we had last year. Every boy and girl of the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades are memâ€" *The plan of having the children go from room to room in the seventh and eighth grades is working very satisfactorily,..and â€"willbeâ€"Continâ€" The Junior Girls club has had three meetings so far this year. Miss Evenson has been chosen to help Miss Miller and Miss Card as sponsors. This year officers are: President, Gloria Segert; viceâ€"presâ€" ident, Rose Mary Barrett; secretary, Ruth Jacobs; treasurer, Ann Jane Ritter. "Grand" plans have been made for our next meeting. f School children: We are asking you to help us keep our front yard looking neat, Please do not throw papers around. If you drop a paper, please stop and pick it up. Please do not run over, and play in the shrubbery. We have a very fine playground without using the front lawn at all.
