THURSDAY, OGITOBER 14, 1987 Alcyon Presents "Another Dawn" "Kid Galahad" which the Alcyon ‘Theatre is showing on Friday and Saturday, is a rapidâ€"fire melodraâ€" matic romance of the modern sportâ€" ing world, the graphic picturization of the Saturday Evening Post story. The film is thrilling to the final unâ€" expected climax. 2 Based on the life of Jim Fisk, "The Toast of New York" is a gripâ€" ping and entertaining dramatic roâ€" miance. Frances Farmer is ideally suited to the role of Josie Mansâ€" field, the woman for whom Fisk tries to solidify his financial empire by gaining a corner on the gold market. Edward Arnold steps into the 1865 frock coat as naturally as did Fisk himself in his heyday, and again proves that he is the most able cinema portrayer of strongâ€" hearted figures. Cary Grant, as the handsome partner of Fisk, takes full advantage of his romantic role and gives a convincing portrayal, while dack Oakie gives his usual capable comedy performance. On Wednesday ‘and Thursday of next week, the Alcyon will again present a double feature program. "Another Dawn" has been made into a very thrilling movie and preview experts have put it up to the top of the list among the action ind 10â€" mance pictures of the year. Everyâ€" thing happens to happyâ€"goâ€"lucky Jack Haley, all because he falls for Ro::dlo Hudson, a sweet little (t’l.r: wi a permanent hunger wh), in the riotous comedy, "She to Eat." W. J.
