DEERFIELD LOCALS CATHOLIC CARD PARTY Mrs. Elmer Clavey has returned from the Highland Park hospital and is recuperating from her reâ€" cent automobile accident at her home. The scarlet fever quarantine for her son, Jack, was lifted yesterâ€" day. Mrs. W. A. Whiting and daughter, Mildred, of Chicago, visâ€" ited Mrs. Clavey at the hospital on Stanley Ragnar Frederickson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Frederickâ€" son of Highland Park was baptized on October 20 at the home of his msâ€" ternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Reeb of Springfield, with Rev. F. G. Piepenbrok officiating. Sponâ€" sors were John Reeb Jr. and Miss Marie Freiman. The baby was born last November 1. The young people of the Holy Cross church have planned a card and bunco party for this evening, (Nov. 4) in the parish hall. With the additional space in the three school rooms a larger group can. be handled easily. There will be enterâ€" tainment and many prizes. The proâ€" ceeds of the party will be for the benefit of the fuel fund. Deerfield Stagers are busy reâ€" hearsing for their first play of the season, "The Bat," which they will present on Friday evening, Nov. 12, in the Deerfleld Grantmar school gymnasium, under the direction of Kenneth Hunter. This dramatic group plans three plays, for which season tickets have been sold.
