MANY BETROTHALS ANNOUNCED Romance held forth in Highland Park during the holiday season with numerous announcement parâ€" ties and ‘weddings heading the soâ€" cial calendar of the younger set. ‘The first announcement of the new year was made at a highball party given by the Francis N. Bards for their daughter Marion. Friends of Miss Marion had been inâ€" vited to drop in before they went to later New Year‘s parties and just before the stroke of midnight the Bards announced their daughâ€" ter‘s engagement to James H.
