Haessler Dancers In Program At Ravinia June 4th The annual dance program preâ€" sented by the pupils of Mildred Haessler is announced for Saturâ€" day afternoon and evening, June 4, mt the Ravinia auditorium. _ _A cast of 80 girls from North Shore homes and the Park Ridge Sthool for Giris will take part. Two ballet pantomime numbers, ‘the ‘Toy Shop and the Enchanted Lake, will head the program, folâ€" lowed by several toe and tap numâ€" bers, a Russian section, and a Strauss waltz scene. The exhibition is in the nature of a benefit for the Park Ridge school recreation department where Mildred Haessler has been contribâ€" uting her services as dance instrucâ€" tor for» several years. Proceeds will be ‘used to install bars for balâ€" let and gymnastic dancing in the school gymnasium and to buy tapâ€" dancing shoes for the rest of the 90 girls taking work in the <~dange courses. , The Park Ridge school was foundâ€" ed after the Civil War to house and educate girl war orphans and has continued to train dependent girls ever since. "The poppy is the individual tribâ€" ute to the ‘memory of the men who died in World War service," said Mrs. Suzzi "Everyone can wear a poppy to show that he remembers and is grateful for the gallant sacâ€" rifices made for American security and democracy. Every patriotic citizen ‘will take part in the obâ€" servance of Poppy Day. Members of the Auxiliar$} will distribute poppies on the streets all day Monday, receiving in exchange for them contributions for the Leâ€" gion and Auxiliary Welfare work among the disabled veterans and needy families of veterans. The poppies have been made by disabled veterans at the veterans‘ hospitals. On Wednesday evening, May 25, the Royal Neighbors are sponsorâ€" ing a public corno game, to be held in the Elks club, Laurel and Mcâ€" Govern streets, at 8 p.m. There will be many worth while prizes of different types, and a good time is assured.
