The Brenâ€" nans lived in Deerfleld for sevenâ€" teen years. Mrs. Rudoiph Knaak and daughâ€" ter, Nancy, are spending this week with relatives in Minneapolis. The Knaaks are building a new home near Long Grove. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sorenson and children of Chicago were guests at the Bruce Blaine home on Roseâ€" mary terrace on Friday. . The Deerfield unit of the Ameri can Legion Auxiliary met on Monâ€" day evening at the home of Mrs William Barrett. An article in the Builder‘s Magaâ€" zine, for month of June, praised the new Wing apartment building in Deerfield, calling it unusual and outâ€" standing. Staff photographers had taken pictures of the building, which illustrated the article. The ultraâ€" modern building contains four apartâ€" ments, "with the army" for the past 48 years. P Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Kunath and baby son have moved from Highâ€" land Park to the Danforth house on Springfield Ave., recently vacated by Mrs. Friedel S. Fuller. Mr. Kunâ€" ath is manager of Sky Harbor. Mr. and Mrs. Turgeon, who had been occupying one of the Wing apartments, while the former Mcâ€" Garvie house was undergoing reâ€" pairs due to a serious fire, moved last week in:o the remodeled house on North Waukegan road, now owned by Harry E. Wing. Mr. Turgeon is an instructor at Curtiss airport. Lieutenant Daniel L. Hine of Fort Sheridan, with his wife, small daughter, and Mrs. Hine‘s grandâ€" mother, moved on Monday to the apartment in the Wing building vaâ€" cated by the Turgeons. Lt. Forbes and little son, John, have returned from Boston, to their home on Osterman avenue. A picture of Mr. and Mrs. Forbes and their son boarding an airplane in Chicago, bound for Boston to have an obstruction removed from the child‘s throat, appeared in the Chicago Tribune several ‘months ago. The lad did not have the opâ€" eration and is getting along nicely. The "obstruction‘" which the Tribâ€" une stressed so greatly was merely tonsils. Harry E. Wing, with George Mcâ€" Gaughey, and two other Waukegan men left on Friday morning for a two week‘s fishing trip at Eagle Lake, Ontario, Canada. Jack Gibbs and Alden Lindgren, who are stationed at Camp Alvin, CCC, Iron River, Michigan, will be home over the Fourth of July. Jack will visit his grandmother, Mrs. F. C. Biederstadt, and Alden will spend the weekâ€"end with his mother, Mrs. Mike Mendino of Old Elm road. The boys have from July 2 to 5 to make the trip both ways. Mrs. William Notman of Simeoe, North Dakota, is visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. Clarence Anderson ofâ€" Hazel avenue. Her mother, Mrs. F. H. McCusker, is also staying at the Anderson home. On Sunday the family visited Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mele (Audrey Mcâ€" Cusker) and their new baby in Milâ€" waukee. Mrs. Clarence Anderson is remaining in Milwaukee with her sister, Mrs. Mele, until the latter part of the week. Mr. and Mrs, Fred LaBahn of Central avenue spent Sunday at the George LaBahn home in Evanston. Mrs. Eugene Ender spent the fore part of last week in Chicago at the E. J. Bingham and J. P. Schneider homes. On Sunday Mrs. Ender attended the commencement exercises at St. Edward‘s Grammar chool, where Sally Bingham was a member of the graduating class. Sally‘s mother is the former Clara Pyle. Mrs. Emil Zettler of Brierhill road is a member of the committee for the annual Ravinia Festival. Mrs. Zettler states that season tickâ€" ets may be secured at the Highland Park First National bank. Miss Jane Warner left on Thursâ€" day for a week‘s trip with friends to New York. Mr. and Mrs. B. J, Dickens of Chicago were Sunday guests at the Robert E.
