‘The Toad Stool Club for Brownie Girl Scout leaders had their first meeting of the season at the Wilâ€" mette Girl Scout cabin, County Line road. The hostesses were the Wilâ€" mette Brownie leaders. The subâ€" jects discussed at the meeting were "Wames, stories, and dramatizations. Mrs. Minnie Campbell, National Colâ€" lege of Education, spoke on stories and dramatizations. Miss Eleanor Kestin, the director of Girls‘ activâ€" ities, Bureau of Recreation of Wilâ€" mette, spoke on games. The proâ€" gram was followed by a Nosebag luncheon. Oblla-h-ltlol‘nlk&'lh‘ over a hundred girls present. It was announced at this meeting that if mnext Monday was cloudy the meetâ€" ing would be postponed a week. If the weather is doubtful call Mrs. Herman A. Zischke, H.P. 2010, or Mrs. C. Eugene Pfster, HP. 2424, to see if the group is meeting. Sevâ€" eral of the girls have started to pass their Star Finding tests. Their next meeting will be Octoâ€" ber 27, at the First Presbyterian church, Evanston, at 10:30 a.m. The Evanston Brownie leaders will be the hostesses. Handicrafts will be the subject for discussion. Miss Nelâ€" lie McLennan, Director of Arts from the National College of Education, will speak. There will also be a representative from Dennison Paper company. Mrs, Katherine King of Evanston is the president of the Toad Stool Club. Mrs. L. Werner, of Park Ridge, is the secretaryâ€" treasurer, and Mrs. W. Edward Ashâ€" well of Evanston is the program chairman. The thir dlecture in the series on Today‘s Consumer will be given Friday, October 27, at 10 o‘clock at the Highland Park Y.W.C.A. Mrs. Philip Johnson, who is giving the lectures, will talk on Meatâ€"Gradâ€" ing, Regulations and Laws.
