Mrs. Mary McCarthy Is Buried Today Mrs. Mary C. McCarthy, a resident of Highland Park for nearly twenty years, died Monday at the Highâ€" land Park hospital, where she had undergone a major operation two weeks ago. Mrs. McCarthy resided at 121 N. Green Bay road. A member of the American Leâ€" gion Auxiliary, she served as presâ€" ident of this organization for two terms. It was during this service that she made a wide circle of friends, who hold the highest regard for her. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors and Cathâ€" olic Daughters of America. James J. McCarthy, her husband, who was a warrant officer in Chiâ€" cago, having served with the army for many years, died in 1922 followâ€" ing a major operation.
