. _ MARCH 27, 1941 At 4:30 p.m. on Sunday the Misâ€" sionary organizations of the Bethâ€" any Evangelical Church will present a Vesper Service, consisting of 2 short plays. Other features in the program will make this a very worthâ€" while service. The Vesper will. be followed by a tea in the social rooms of the church. All members and friends of the Parish are invited. In their name I thank you for what you have done. The tax on our resources is enormâ€" ous and anything sent will always be welcomeâ€"most especially boys clothing and knickers. The letter and box of clothing sent off by you on 15th Nov. 1940, has just arrived. Many many thanks for your kindness in sending the things. Everything will be distributed at once to the wives and children of our fighting men. Gifts, such as these you have sent, help them so enormâ€" ouslyâ€"psychologically fully as much as materially. A family which has been bombed out of house and home is most truly heartened by a gift of clothing, but even more so by tl} knowledge that they are being helpâ€" ed and worked for and thought about. When that help comes, as yours does, from overseas, the effect is quite miraculousâ€"so pleased and touched they are. The ~Deerfieldâ€"Bannockburn Britâ€" ish War Relief committee has reâ€" ceived several letters from England telling of the arrival of boxes which the local unit and the Highland Park unit had packed and sent last fall. The letters were addressed to Mrs. Emil Zettler, chairman of the used clothing committeeâ€" and following is one of the letters which exemplifies the appreciation expressed by all who have received help.
