Soldiers Have Tea A number of soldiers from Fort Sheridan were entertained at a tea held Sunday afternoon at the Highâ€" wood Service center by the Junior Italian Woman‘s Prosperity club, Mrs. Ernest Santi, Misses Mary C. Santi, and Bridget Mordini were in charge of the party. Miss Minnie Milano poured. Chaperones were Mrs. Ray Suzzi and Mrs. Theodore Minorini. Tickets may be purchased from any of the committee. Mrs. L F. McClure and Mrs. George Straub head the list of sponsors which include Mrs. E. A. Harrington, Mrs. H. E. Holt, Mrs. E. Loeb, Mrs. H. Kerber and Mrs. R. H. Morris. Mrs. C. O. On Sunday, May 18, at 4 p. m., the Raviniaâ€"Braeside Singers are giving a program at the Ravinia School under the direction of Miss Katherine Scherstrom. ‘These 26 girls who are now in high school, have sung under Miss Scherstrom‘s direction since the lower grades and have developed into a very fine madâ€" rigal group. Mrs. George Straub accompanies the singers at the piâ€" ano. Gloria Linari, a student at the Highland Park High school, is a protege of Helen Abbott Byfield, and will sing a group of songs also. The guest artist will be Helen Birningham Kane, of Evanston, who is well known on the North Shore for her recitals and lectures on musiciological subjects.
