By ALICE ZABEL Miss Scanu, whose home is in Soukâ€"Elâ€"Khemis, Tunisia, is the daughter of the late Justin Scanu and Mrs: B. Odobez of Soukâ€"Elâ€" Khemis. _ The. bride, who speaks Arabic, French, Italian and Spanâ€" ish fluently, knows only a few English words as yet. Mr. McFarland, who is now on inactive duty, served <for 20 months as a first lieutenant, conâ€" nected with the Military Intelliâ€" gence, 18 months of that time in ‘Tunisia, where he met his bride. ‘The bride, who was given in marriage by Herbert Alexander, wore a white satin dress with a long train and fingertip veil, and caried a bouquet of white roses. A reception at the McFarland home â€" followed the ceremony. About 50 guests were present. She was attended by the brideâ€" groom‘s three nieces, ,D_iane. Nanâ€" :-y:';;c'l Bonnie McFarland, who wore _ dresses of pink, blue and white, respectively. Mr. Philip McFarland . served his brother as best man. After a honeymoon at the Edgeâ€" water Beach hotel, the young couâ€" ple are now residing at the Hotel Lincoln in Chicago until they purâ€" chase a home in Highland Park. VISITED HERE Albert O. Snite of Norwich, Vt., visited at the home of his parâ€" ents, the Albert P. Snites of 201 Central avenue, for five days last week. He came to Highland Park to â€" pick up his seven year old daughter, Elizabeth, who was here en route to Vermont from Carmel, Calif. She will make her home in Norwich with her father.
