Jack Sharpless Son of the late Mr. Charles Emmett Sharp land: Park, he was the brother of Mrs. _ Veyâ€"Louise â€" (Sharpless) Steele and Donald Sharpless, both deceased. The latter, ‘Don‘ Sharpâ€" less, was oneâ€"time golf professionâ€" al at Bonnie Brook Country club, Waukegan. Mr. Charles Emmett Sharpless, Sr., will be remembered as oneâ€"time manager of the Misâ€" sion Hills Country club and of the Wilmette Country club. Jack Sharpless was also the nephew of the late Attorney Willard W. Sharpless, State‘s attorney in Garâ€" rett, Indiana. Born in Highland Park Januâ€" ary 25, 1921, after the death of his parents in 1930 and 1932, reâ€" spectively, Jack entered the Allenâ€" dale School for Boys at Lake Villa. Proficient in art and music, he was a member of the wellâ€"known Allendale School band, and upon graduation there he attended Triâ€" State college, Angola, Indiana. In September, 1942, he entered serâ€" vice and eight months afterward was killed in action on the Iskind of Attu. Born in Sweden, Mr. Anderson came to this country in 1880. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emily, in 1926. A carpenter by trade, he retired 20 years ago.
