One had a son, and one a daughter. The son and the daughter were marriedâ€" to each other. One day these nice ladies were notified that they were the grandâ€" parents of a fine baby girl. Wild horses could not have held these newlyâ€"made grandparents. Undismayed by the prospect of a long journey, they piled into a car and sped, like homing pigeons, on the trail of the stork. You may be one, yourgelf, some day. In the animal kingdom nothing fleeter Than the furâ€"coated, longâ€"legged, leopardâ€"like cheetah . Most often comprised in the cat catalog, In many respects he resembles a dog. He runs wild in Persia and India, yet He can make, we are told, a most lovable pet. His sprint, so spectacular, matchâ€" less in scope, Is employed to hunt down the swift antelope, â€" Which rivals the greyhound‘s groundâ€"covering speedâ€" And that is a record impressive, indeed; For the greyhound displays an insatiable habit Of chasingâ€"and â€" catchingâ€"the scuttling rabbit. When you‘re out on the speedâ€"way, with motor aâ€"throb, Consuming the miles in your highâ€" powered job, And you look at the 70 shown on your meter, You are matchingâ€"the speed of the longâ€"legged cheetah.
