TRAVELING IN EUROPE Dr. and Mrs. Dudiey Crafts Watson of 281 Marshman avenue and their sonâ€"inâ€"law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin G. Bauer (Kaki Watson) are traveling in Europe this summer. They left on June 19 and expect to return on September 2. Dr. Watson is gathâ€" ering material and pictures for future lectures. At present the Watsons and Bauers are in Switzâ€" erland. Mr. Bauer is the son of the Aaron S. Bauers of 315 Cenâ€" tral avenue. VACATIONING Robert K. Belt and son, Bill, of 1919 S. Sheridan road left Monâ€" day on a three weeks‘ western vacation. They plan to spend some time in New Mexico, Colorado and Arizona before they return home. COLLEGE HOUSE PARTY The annual College House Party will be held on Friday, July 22, at the Exmoor Country club, for members‘ sons and daughters, age 18 to 30. Tennis and golf in the afternoon will be followed by dinâ€" ner and dancing in the evening. At a recent garden party in their Evanston home Mr. and Mrs. Russell C. Swope announced the betrothal of their daughter, Carol, to Hathaway Clark Kemper, son of the Hathaway G. Kempers of Winnetka, former Highland Parkâ€" Miss Swope is a graduate of Roycemore and Ogontz Junior college in Philadelphia. Mr. Kemâ€" per, a graduate of Lake Forest academy, is attending Cornell. He is a member of Delta Kappa Epâ€" silon fraternity. Visiting in Gallup, New Mexico, with her sonâ€"inâ€"law and daughter, the Charles Butlers, formerly of Highland Park, is Mrs, Sarah ‘Williams of 543 Central avenue. Troxel Jr. son of Mr. and Mrs. Troxel of 244 Cenâ€" tral Ave. is one of the 180 Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps students selected from fiftyâ€"two colleges throughout the country for an eight week training period at the Marine Corps Schools in Quantico, Virginia, The first period of instruction for Mr. Troxel will be two weeks at the rifle range, firing both the semiâ€"automatic â€" and . automatic rifles and the carbine.
