And the Father HAS stepped out of the flesh, That is the meaning of Christmas. Jesus is Immanuelâ€" God with us. > + God speaks to us at Christmas with the of the forâ€" ginnn.oflim.?onpbhhld.! "Thou shalt call His name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins." The only condition to fulfillment of this promise is that we .individually, be numbered among His people by virtue of our acceptance of Him as our Saviour. God speaks to us at Christmas about the more abundant life which is the prerogative of all who enthrone His Son as Lord of their lives. Our Lord Himself said, "I am come.that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly." "O Holy Child of Bethichem! Descend to us, we pray; Cast out our sin, and enter in, Be born in us today . . . ." The yearly remembrance of the birth of Christ brings to our world a renewed and joyous sense of good will among men. For a brief space of time they forget their ancient animosities and preâ€" sent conflicts as they recall with grateful joy God‘s gift to the world of Himself and its meanâ€" ing today. We in Highland Park ought to be especially conscious of our particular blessings; of the high moral standards that characterize our community; of the good schools our children are privileged to attend; of the churches," hosâ€" pital, and charities which serve God and man; of the merchants, public servants and entertainment people; of the doctors, lawyers and professional men; of the newspaper editors, the nurses and teachers; of the office workers, laborifég people and all the others who make our town a fine place in which to live! Rejoicing in God‘s great goodâ€" ness to us all, we wish you all a blessed holiday.
