Prices have not yet been maf Serially Influenced by the changed aa» pact of the market; but there seems to bo prospects of an advance. In re* •pome to our call numerous factory me a have reported i the number of cheese held by them; and the reports indicate that the aggregate number of cheese in the interior is not large. During the past week, the number ot boxes •sported was more than double that of the corresponding week last year. Our Philadelphia correspondent writes that "there seems to have been a gent aval revolution in the views of th« trade on the cheese market, changing from despondency to full confidence in the strength of the article. It looks to us as if the lowest prices had been reached, and while we do not expect, at before noted, any radical advance in prices, we believe they will be higher than at present. There is a better de mand from England at improved prices, and the trade here is picking up." In Bos ton there is also a steady demand. It now seems probable that the market will be relieved; and that the next season will open with fair prices. BUTTER.--No'changes are noted ii» the butter quotations. The demand at all markets seems to be for a good ar ticle. The trade generally continues dull. Fall and "Winter Trade. . . V, , * . ' 4 'j. S d , . * > ^ ^ >• , tJte, rn&SsSi*, n 'lift Gnvti of the President*. /ft* remains of three ex-Presidents rest in Tennessee--Andrew Jackson, James K. Polk and Andrew Johnson./ Five--Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Honroe and Tyler--repose in Virginia. Two--John Adams and John Quincy Adams--in Massachusetts. Two--Van Buren and Fillmore--in New York; William Henry Harrison in Ohio; Zach- ary Taylor in Kentucky; Pierce in New Hampshire; Buchanan in Pennsylvania, and Abraham Lincoln in Illinois. In all we have had eighteen Presidential tarms of four years each, of whom only the present incumbent survives. At some period in the future an effort will probably be made to gather up the scattered remains of our Presidents and re-inter them at the seat of the gov ernment. Whether their descendant# and the States which sow bold their lakta will consent to their removal, is a question] that it will be time enough to consider when the' proposl* tion shall come up in due form. (^Timothy Kirby, the wealthy father-ir-law of the man Dion Pott, died In Cincinnati the other day, and two or three abandoned women turn up as recipients of heavy bequests, as well as five illegitimate children who were made legateee under the will. Mr, Pott and General Banning will contest the will, and the result will be as big a scandal as that which followed the death of the old reprobate Ike Singer. The world apparently, is getting worse everyday. There nobody good, we are tempted to say, but the reader and ourselves. UC KLIN k STEVENS > NEAR THE DEPOT, M'HENRY. This pernicious weed has • utterly spoiled and utterly ruined thousands of boys. It tendB to the softening and weakening of the bones, and it greatly Injures the brain, the spinal marrow, and the whole nervous fluid. A boy who smokes early and frequently, or in any way uses large quantities of tobac co, is never known to make a man of much energy, and generally lacks mus cular and physical, as well as meatal power.
