Anions the veterans of the old 95tft, III. Lieutenant Walker is known as a first class fellow. From what your correspondent has heard said on the subject, Capt. Geo, Eckert, of Woodstock, has the Inside track in the race for sheriff. In this "neck of the woods," George was one of the stayers of the old 95th. If he makes as good a run for the of&ee of sheriff, as he did to get away from the rebs at Guntown, he will "get there And here are our old boots to help him In this race, as in that one. The other comrades that want the office, are capabl-, good fellows too. But they can't all have it. at once, and comrade Sredman has held It once. Some say that is a reason why he should have it attain, and will vote for him for that reason. We believe in rotatiou iu in ofllc. If it is a good thing pass it around. The weight of his body and the power of the fall dislocated his shoul der. He was taken to the rooms of G. E, Dickinson, ovef the drug store, and Dr. Watson was Immediately summoned. It was soon found that a piece of the head of the joint was broken off and driven down, rested on the upper rib, Every effort to replace the broken piece proved unavailing. The joint was adjusted as well as po«' Bible after prolonged endeavor. During the day a telegram was sent to Elgin for Dr. Bolitpv but he not being able to come. It was decided to take the patient to Dr. Powell, at Chicago, So at/2.49 Lafe Benthusen, Clantiing, and Isaac Powell accompanied him to Chicago.
