They plctiiced at the lake and came home at night declaring that they had enjoy^f a glorious day. As we have heard nothing said about the Re-Union of the old 95th regiment of IIL, Volunteers, we vent ure to Inform the Mold beys" that the people of Nunda very much desire that they meet here again on Septem ber fourth. We heard a very old soldier who was here last year, with whom we convened on the subject, de clare that It waa the best Re-Union that the regiment ever had. And we heard many citizens declare that It was a complete success, except In one particular. And that was they said, that we did not furnish a free dinner ror all old soldiers and their families. Many of them, and among them Uncle Huffman (and he always claims to be long to the regiment or the regiment to him) said it was a shame that we should get the boys to come and visit us and then let them pay for the I r dinner. So knowing the feeling of kindness and generosity that exists towards the members of that regi ment, and la fact all old soldiers, we have no hesitancy In saying that it they should decide to meet here we will do as well by them as we did last year and the dinner would be froe. Now another thought In connection with the coming re nnlon. It Is always said oy all hand's we never have any time to visit. Many of our old com rades come from distant states and It is too muoti of an eff >rt and expense for the opportunity to visit. Now let us have )t three days camping out at Crystal Lake. We can secure the most beautirul camp ground In the country there. Let us have the tents all up on Thursday the second, and then ir we have ralr weather have a'l our pro gram me rendered on a platform In the open air on Saturday and ir rainy we could go to our two large rinks here. That will give us time to visit. Let our committee bestir themselves soon, call a meeting here as they did la»t year and settle details at sn early day. Your correspondent la conversant with the amount of work to be done bv committees, and i^e want a good deal of time to dolt la. Our Invlta- tlor.s to comrades and others ought- to be s«nt out soon. Last year we would have been rejoiced with the presence of our old division Commander If we had started lo soon enough. Let us hear from comrades. The commencement exercises of our Union Sohool will be held In the Con gregational Church at ' the Lake on Thursday evening next. There are Only two graduates. Miss Nina Daroy has the salutatory an J Miss Louise Wilbur the valedictory. As we write t|e themometer Is crowding hp and at three p. M. stands at 95 in tue shade. One can stand by a cornfield and hear it crack as It shoots upwards, "or words to that effect." This section needs ralo. We noticed the broad sailing" face of one or McHenrys boss business men, John Evanson, on our streets on Mon day or this we«>k. The villages of Nunda and Crystal Lake have revised their ordinances. They were compiled and edited by M. F. Ellsworth, and will be published In pamphlet form. HEBRON. EDITOR PLAINDEALER:--Mr. Henry Householdet Is very side.
