Route 3. 52-3t* GRADUATION EXERCISES Of St. Mary's Parochial School Held at the Central Tuesday Evening The graduation exercises of St. Mary's parochial school were held at the Central opera house on Tues­ day evening, June 27, and the hall was well crowded on this occasion. Diplomas were presented to Miss Rosemary Nye and Miss Julia Weber. The Palmer graduates are: Rose­ mary Nye, Helen Freund, Theresa Herbes and Julia Weber. The class motto was "Knowledge and Virtue United." Class colors, white and gold. Class flower, lily. Rev. Lonergan and Rev. EM. Ber- thold addressed the audience, advo­ cating the need of a new sisters' home here and suggesting improve­ ments on the school building. There is now an attendance of 150 pupils and they expect 200 to enter school in September. The program consisted of one act dramas and drills and too much praise cannot be given the superin­ tendent, Sr. Mary Baptiste, and her able assistants. RING WOOD James L. Conway was an Aurora visited Saturday. Charles Wandrack , of Woodstock was in town Friday. Thomas Walkington, daughter and husband visited - Richmond . relatives Sunday. ' Quite a number of our people at­ tended the funeral of little Richard Bell at Richmond Sunday afternoon. The remains were brought to Ring- wood and placed beside his mother. All' sympathize with the bereaved family as he was a very dear child. Wilt Go'to Montana Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Ott, who have resided here for the past ten years or more, have decided to leave for their farm home in Montana. Mr. Ott has been employed at the Barbian Bros.' cigar factory since coming to McHenry, with the exception of the time spent as proprietor of the Bre­ feld barber shop. The marriage was hastened a year on account of the bugle call. We wish them a long journey thru life with their path strewn with roses- minus the thorns. | "A wedding with an unusual set­ ting occurred Tuesday evening at I sunset on the lawn at the bride's home, when Miss Leone Perkins be­ came the bride of Arthur Ribble. Be­ neath the trees was placed a row of American^, flags. The members of Company H of this city were pres­ ent and formed a semi-circle before the flags. It was here the ceremony was performed by Rev. Glenn Stew­ art. - "Besides the members of the com­ pany those, present were the relatives of Iboth the bride and bridegroom, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Yaxley and the clerks from the store. Mr. Ribble is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Ribble and has been employed in Battle Creek as a stenographer. Mrs. Ribble is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Perkins and was a junior at the local high school. Both the bride and, ! gorom had been employes of C. H. I Yaxley and both are interested in music, Mr. Ribble being a violinist. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Pollard of Millard, Wis., passed a few days the past week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thomas.
