Freund motored to Mc­ Henry Sunday, where they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Lew Bishop. Mr. and Mrs. Jos. A number of the farmers have been putting in a supply of ground feed while weather and roads are good. Henry Hobart, wife and son, Roy, and Miss Ammie Francisco were bus­ iness callers at the county seat Wed­ nesday. Next Friday everything belonging to Thomas and Oglesby, who reside on the Francis Abbott farm, will be sold at auction. E. L. Francisco of Woodstock drove over Wednesday evening for his brother, Glynn, who had been spend­ ing a part of his vacation here with relatives. While Warren Francisco was driv­ ing to McHenry one of his horses was taken violently ill. E. church Sunday, Oct. 22, at 1:45 o'clock. A good attendance is desired. A Parents-Teachers' association meeting will be held at the Volo schoolhouse on Oct. 20. Everybody come. Colon Oatrander Pe«i Colon Ostrander, at one time a resident of this village, but during the past several years a resident of Fpx Lake, where he has been engaged in the hotel business, died at the Lake­ side hotel there on 'Wednesday even­ ing of this week. The funeral will take place from Fox Lake next Sat­ urday with interment in the Wood­ land cemetery in this village. The funeral will probably be held at about the noon hour. Brought Here For Burial The body of John Brennan was brought here from St. Louis, Mo., for burial on Monday afternoon. Wm. Murphy accompanied the body and was met by about twenty-five rela­ tives of the deceased at Chicago be­ sides relatives and friends from Cary, who witnessed, the burial at St. Pat­ rick's cemetery, Rev. M. J. McEvoy officiating. He was about fifty-three years of age, and was an uncle of «Atty. Chas. Allen of Cary.
