The bride, given in marriage by her father, was radiant in a gown of white bridal satin, fashioned with fitted bodice and sweetheart neckline, the yoke being beaded. The long sleeves came to * point at tiie wrist, and the Aril Skirt tapered into a train. Her lace trimmed fingertip veil was held in place by a beaded, tiara of seed pearls and she carrier a cascade bouquet of white roses. Her only jewelry was a string of pearls, the gift of the groom. Miss Betty Schmitt, sister of the proom, was maid of honor. She way attired in a gown of poudre blue organdy, styled with bustle effeet hoop -skirt. She carried a bouquet of red roses and wora a ring bearer was Albert Freund, a cousin of the groom, who carried the rings on a white brocaded satin pillow. Norbert Hiller served as best man, while Eugene Tyrell of Rock Island, brother of the bride, and Gerald Schumacher served as groomsmen. Richard Schmitt and Richard Freund ushered. Nuptial music was furnished by St. Mary's choir, with the "Ave Maria" being sung by James Lennon. For her daughter s wedding Mrs. Tyrell chose a gown of robin's egg blue, with matching hat 'and accessories of black. Her shoulder corsage was of pink roses. Mrs. Schmitt wore an aquS-colored gown, with matching hat and accessories and a corsage of pink roses. Following the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served to the bridal party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Schmitt, and at 1 o'clock, a delicious turkey dinner was enjoyed by the bridal pary and immediate families and a few friends at the parochial school hall. A reception was held at 5 o'clock for about 160 guests, also at the hall. A three-tier wedding cake was the centerpiece on the bride's table, whieh was decorated with tall blue candles in crystal candle holders. The bride is a graduate of the Lake high school.
