Mrs. Barron, a former teacher in the local grade school, is now residing in Milwaukee. The bride has been taking a course in X-ray technician work at the Wisconsin General hospital in Madison. Because of the large crowds, half of the students presented a program the lirst night and the other half on Thursday. The programs consisted of music; folk dances and playlets, all of which were neatly enjoyed by the many in attendance. liie Sisters of the school are to be commended on the excellent entertainment which the programs afforded the parents, * • * Young Msrriods Met In McHenry The Young Married club of McHenry county met last week Wednesday evening at the Peter M. Justen funeral home here. After an interesting talk by Mrs. Justen concerning the business entailed in conducting a funeral home, the group drove to the Mitchel Kane home in Ringwood for a short meeting. The club voted to change the name to "Community Inquirers." The next meeting will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Benoy in Greenwood on May 19. • • • C. D. of A. Plana Future Events Court Joyce Kilmer, No. 573. Catholic Daughters of America,' will receive Communion in a body at St. Patrick's church on Sunday* . May 2, at the 9 o'clock mass. The annual Mother's Day party will be held on Monday, May 10, with a 6:30 o'clock chicken dinner at the Villa Hotel Resort. Reservations must be in by Thursday, May 6, by calling Nettie Fleming, 106-J, or Ella Buss, 30. Dinners will be $1.75 a plate. The next regular business meeting of the club will be held on May 6, in the K. of C. hall, when election of officers will take place. We are all looking forward to a good time. All friends and parents of the choirs are invited and we hope that you come and have fun with us. Harry Barr has consented to act as master of ceremonies and you can depend on it, there will be no dull moments. We hope that this will be the beginning of many fun and fellowship meetings. Plans are shaping Up for the coming financial drive for the parsonage Koject. Many of the church memrs and friends will soon receive requests to act on the committee of nfty to supervise this campaign. We hope that the challenge will be met willingly and prayerfully and that the project will be carried on to a successful conclusion. Many , have expressed their interest; however, it takes more than just interest, it takes participation by all of us. A fine congregation enjoyed the anthem, "Lovely Appear," by Gounod, which was sung Sunday by the adult choir. Mrs. Donald Barger was the soloist. Next Sunday is one of the those combination Sundays that comes around frequently in the church year. It will be Rural Life Sunday, and the beginning of National Family Week; We are happy to hoar that again this year the Cherry Valley 4H Club will worship with us.
