With feverial haste the Property j Owners Association sponsors of this gay festival, are making last minute preparations to accomodate a record ".crowd, The leading feature on the! • -day's program is the Soap Box Derby, j which will begin promptly at li o'clock. , ! Ken Ebey, Jr., who will .,act„ as - starter will have about twenty-five . of McHenry county aces lined up in j their speedsters and at the crack: of the starting gun they'll be off from Schubert's hill down Orchard j drive with the final line at the beach park. The boys enjoyed a trip to Chicago, where they watched the Cubs play ball. The Chicago Cubs could take a lesson from, our Wilcats last Sunday when they beat the McHenry Ramblers by a score of 4 to 0. Since Ed Murphy is doing such a swell job. in his "Junior Baseball' column we'll leave future Wildcat scores to his able pen. There's a ring on her finger and a blush on her cheek and the lady we have reference to is Miss Doris Kolin, who answered in the affermitive to Robert Sales' proposal to ^ change her name to his'n last Thursday. No definite plans have been made for their wedding day by this happy pair. So they tell us, but* who can believe a pair in love? Last Friday was a big day for Bill Kochelle and Helge Davidsen. It was Bill's fiftieth birthday and Helge's sixteenth although sixty-one would look better on him. The boys celebrated with a party at the Woodstock Moose Hall. Need more be said ?
