Local Second FWmJ Wins 28-27 To Make Afternoon Complete The Co-ops wound un their homo basketball game last Sunday with * rousing 2-point victory over the l;igh-ranking Richmond five. When shooting was over. McHenry^ hud a 57 lo 55 win put away. Outstanding for McHenry was Bob Stilling. Bob's rebounding controlled the ball for the Co-ops and played a big part in winning the game. Hobby Miller also playrd a nice game at center, going in to give Peterson a couple of rest, periods. Oddly enough each team had 22 lied and each made 17 points on free throws. McHenry s one extra field goal was the difference in the final outcome, •f McHenry's second team won ihe opener by the closest of margltis, 28 to 27. Most of us thought the MCHS Warriors would tuck away another basketball victory last Friday night. But. last place Harvard rose up to dominate the game and gain .victory, 42 to 35. Herb Engdahl led McHenry's scoring with 14 points and Don Freund sparked a last quarter drive that proved too little too late.
