This pipe was found to be only an inch pipe, badly rusted and corroded. That we met at Woodstock. Illinois, on the 8th day of July, 19M, and audited and ordered paid bills of a general nature chargeable to the MeHenry Countv patrol system of roads as a whole for repairs and supplies for County owned machinery and labor at the County tool house and grounds to a total of $21,860.12 S&id total includes payment for 2 new Adams Motor Graders in the amount of $17,4*2.80. (Fence removal) in the amount of $1,977.70. The plans have been approved for the new bridge Known as the Schutt Bridge on M. F. T. Section 8C and we have set the date to receive bids on the nfw structure for 11 o'clock A. M.. D. L. S. T., July 23, 1950. The Island Lake Road has been graded and new culverts placed preparatory to an A-l (Modified) Asphalt top heretofore authorised. The black topping may start this week. We let a gravel hauling job on the west end of the Fox Farm Road in the Town of Marengo, by actual count--1125 cubic yards of creek gravel at $900.00 to Floyd Gricbel of Marengo. Illinois. The grading of the new M. F. T. Section 36 Road in the Town of Dunham is well underway and the hauling of the 60«') cubic vards of borrow material will start this week. The mowing of the State Aid Roads is also underway. There are four tractor-mowers working at $8.50 per hour including gasoline and dri.tr. .. " e have decided to recommend that the road known as the Pvott R°»o. a part of State Aid Route "$-A In the Town of Algonquin, be placed on the road program for improvement under the Motor Fuel Tax Law from U. S. Route 14. at the south end of the concrete road leading north into t rystal Lake, southerly to the newly constructed Huntiey-Aigonquin Road. We further recommend that the require*! resolution covering the above described road be passed by this Board at this time. The gravel for the C-6 Type Asphalt Road from Huntley to Algonqquin is now crushed and piled ready for the mixing machine and the won* is expected to start very soon. Your committee estimates there will be necessary tor the care of the McHenry County, Illinois. patrol system of roads an appropriation from the County Highway fund in the sum of $10,000.00 until the next meeting of this Board.
