Xfrs.'Kistne whose home is in New York, is one of the outstanding women flower arrangers in this country and a great favorite in her field, both here , and abroad. She has twice been the winner of the Tri- International award at the NeV? York Garden club show--a rare honor, and she was the first American woman to be invited to England to lecture before the Kensington Garden cluhs. When Princess Elisabeth moved into her new home, Clarence House, the flower containers for its formal opening were flown to Mrs. Kistner in New York. She made all the floral arrangements in them and they were then flown back to England for the gala affair. She haB since visited the king and queen of England and has been the guest of Princess Elizabeth at Clarence House. As Mrs. Kistner is in constant demand for lecturing, teaching and conducting judging schools all over the country, Woodstock is extremely fortunate in having her appear May 9 and is inviting all surrounding communities to hear her lecture. Six medium sized potatoes, 1 large onion,- 2 eggs, flower, salt, pepper, 3 slices bread. * , Boil potatoes with skins left on. Peel and let c<k)i. Meantime, finely dice the bread. Slice onion very fine and fry in lard or other shortening with the bread cubes. Fry until lightly browned only. Mash potatoes thoroughly. Add unbeaten eggs and bread and onion mixture. Add about half a cup of flour or* just enough so that mixture may be formed into balls about the size of meat balls. Season before forming into balls. Have a large kettle of boiling water ready. Put some flour in a small dish and use to keep hands floured while rolling the dumpings. Lower each dumpling caregently with large spoon. Attend them closely while" boiling. Try to keep in water. If they seem to disintegrate before time is up, remove them carefully with a slotted spoon to a large platter.
