Betty Ann Hecht Shower Honoree A miscellaneous mower was given for Miss Betty Ann Hecht on Thursday, Aug. 23, at the home of Mrs. Frances Patzke of McHenry, with Miss Shirley Patzke and Mrs. June Milinac as co-hostesses.* ; Twenty guests were present from McHettry, Woodstock, Mc- Cullom Lake and Chicago. ~ Games were enjoyed, after which a tasty luncheon was served and the bride-to-be presented with many lovely gifts. She was also the' recipient of a beautiful corsage. Miss Hecht Will becqme the nacris Adams, hjr gfefljtather, the bride approached the^altar, radiant in gown of white' satin and lace, with scalloped bodice topped with lace and a scalloped edge on the skirt leading into a long satin train. The. dress was styled with long sleeves and tiny buttons down to the waist. A fingertip veil fell from a Dutch style, laceedged satin cap. with seed pearls. Her only jewclr> a thr?estrand pearl nerftf&qer a gift from the bridegroom. Miss Poe carried an orchid surrounded by white rose buds and UUes of the valley. Mrs. Norma Hiller Knox, a c|ose friend of the bride, acted as matron of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Patricia liuemann and Miss Terry Millar, friends, and Mrs. Ann Herdrich Hunter, sister Qt the groom. Mrs. Knox wore white orgpjidy over a blue taffeta akirt, styled with cap sleeves and four tiers of frosted organdy on the skirt and o$ the sleeves and collar. She wore a wreath of yellow flowers in her hair and carried a bouquet of yellow glads. The bridesmaids were attired similarly in dresses of lavender, with matching floral headpieces, and carried bouquets of orchid mums. Carol and Terry Herdrich, nieces Qf the bridegroom, were the pretty little flower girls, wearing yellow, floor length dresses, the skirts caught up with clusters of rosebuds. They carried colonial bouquets of rosebuds and white baby mums. Alex Kloeckner, friend of the groom, served as best man and groomsmen were Bob Mailfold, the groom's brother-in-law, and Fred Herdrich, his brother. Breakfast was served at the MICHAEL HAUER A lifelong resident of the McHenry community. M'ichael Bauer, So. died at his home on Riverside Drive Aug. 18, folliwing a lingering - illness. He is survived by seven children. Last rites werje conducted from St. Mary's church on Tuesday of last week.
