CLARENCE DIEDRICH St Mary's church was the scene of a lovely nuptial service last Saturday, Ffeb. 23. when Miss Marie Schaefer, daughter of Mr. and lifrs. Henry F. Schaefer of Pearl street, became the bride of Mr. Clarence Diedrich. son of Mr. And Mrs Fred Diedrich, who reside on the Pistakee Bay, Macktop road. Rt./Rev. Msgr. C. S. Nix officiated at the wvxlding. which took place at 9:30 o'clock. Mrs. Marguerite Adams was vocal soloist, her offerings being "Are Maria" and "On This D£y 0 Beautiful Mother," the latter as the bride placed her bouquet on the altar of the Blessed Virgin. The attractive bride wore a White slipper satin gown, featuring a q,ueen Anne collar and peplum edged with Chantiily lace: Her full skirt ended in a cathedral train, also lace trimmed. On her head she wore a tiara of seed pearls and bugle beads, which was attached to a fingertip illusion veil edged with lace, and she carried a bouquet of w:hite roses. Her only jewelry was a 3-strand pearl necklace, a gift of the groom. . The three attendants, M is s Marilyn Diedrich, niece of fhe groom. Miss Viola Schaefer. sister of the bride, and Aliss Betty Diedrich of Richmond, his niece, were attired similarly in taffeta gowns, ljuttoned to the waist ami trimmed with lace. Their headpieces were braided tiaras in colors matching the gowns. The maid of honor. Miss Marilyn Diedrich. wore piuk, and carried a bouquet of blue carnations. Miss Schaefer was in Nile green with yellow carnations aad Miss Betty Diedrich chose maize and pink carnations. Little Sally Diedrich, niece of the groom, acted as flower girl, wearing 9 white slipper satin dress, with a wreath of roses on her head, to which was attached a veil. She carried £ colonial bou- 'quet of mixed flowers in pink, yellow and blue. Albert Schaefer, brother of the bride, served as best man and groomsmen were Joseph Stoffel, her cousin, and John Reynolds of Richmond, u friend of the couple. Ushers were Louis Schaefer, brother of the bride, of Antioch, and Clarence Ettett, brother-inlaw of the groom. Breakfast was served to the bridal party at the bride's home following the ceremony, and sixty members of the immediate families joined them for dinner at noon. Mrs. Frederick Wakl and the Qlrl Scouts of Troop' 3 carried out the George Washington theme in their decorations, complete with red. white and blue nut cups, chf-rries and hatchets. • Susan Sayler, a member of the troop, quaintly attired in an old fashioned gown, carried a basket filled with red and white carnations which she presented to each father. Mrs. Charles Brda, the president, of the Adult Girl Scout association. presented Rev. Fr. Eugene' Baumhofer, who introduced the leaders and sponsors ni the five troops present.
