Motion by Thennes* seconded by Anderson, that the following MODIFICATION IN GAS RESTRICTION --1 ORDER ANNOUNCED The Illinois Commerce Commission has approved, a slight modification in the gas restriction order of the Public Service company of Northern Illinois, it was announced last week. The changes, principally in the interest of clarification and simplification, includes: . 1. Twelve months time for authorized customers to install their gas furnaces instead of the present six months. Limited availability of heating equipment and of skilled installers has prevented many customers authorized last December from installing their gas heat equipment by June, as required under the old order. 2. All future requests for gas heat to be made in writing on a form to be supplied by the company. Previous requests have been permitted by letter, telephone or personal call. The cause of the fire was not determined but the flames gained con-* siderable headway before beinf discovered and the building waa doomed when Bartlett firemen' arrived at the scene.
