Stevens, worthy grand matron of the O. E. S. of Illinois, was received jointly at Wauconda grade school at 8 o'clock by Richmond chapter No. 267, Harvard chapter No. 362. McHenry chapter No. 547, Mayflower chapter No. 555 and Haven chapter No. 727. Vernon C. Hayes, grand patron, was also honorary guest. Alyce Hoeft, worthy matron of McHenry chapter, held the station of assistant conductress, Wm. Hoeft, worthy patron, was marshal, Phyllis Nimtz acted as organist and Ethel Holly was secretary. Edith Harrison performed the functions at the station of Ruth. The grand worthy matron addressed the more than 300 representatives of the five chapters with words of special compliment for the fine work they had done and encouraged them to continue in the future. She expressed her thanks for the impressive reception, honorary memberships in the five chapters and personal gifts. The grand patron also expressed gratitude for gifts and memberships presented to him on the occasion and promised to avail himself of the privileges they gave.
