Grievances by Mr. Sarley and one by Mr. Cammarata Were handed to Mr. Waynne, chairman of the grievahce committee. They are to be reviewed by the committee and a report made at the next meeting of the council. Mr. Vachet made a recommendation that the village clerk be given a sum of ten dollars a month, because of the great amount cf work involved in, the job. The trustees asked to have time to discuss it and they will give their answer at the next meeting. An estimate was received for the road signs, showing the speed limit for the side roads. Motion by Booster, seconded by Cynowa, to purchase fifteen signs and posts, at $2.50 per sign. The posts will be extra. Mr. Booster gave a report on the method used for the motor fuel tax return for the village. In order to apply for a tax return, the village must submit a five-year plan, showing what roads are to be improved, and how they are tc be improved. This tax. when given, can only be used for the construction of arterial roads, and is subject to the approval of tile state engineer. The committee on roads is ti talk to an engineer on roads and consult him as to what road? we are to improve and what method would be best in ou particular case. She inquired why the weeds have not been removed from vacant lots, although lot owners had received written notice that if the weeds were not removed, the village would do so and biH the owners for same.
