Our thanks to Harry Strnard | of Chicago and Lakemoor who donated $25 to the fire department and just recently donate:! a fire extinguisher for the community house. Whenever •> Harry comes out, he never forgets to remember the workers on the community house. ; Mrs. Chancey Maderia, Jenny Vallone's sister, flew to Europe two weeks ago and is planning on spending three months touring France, Italy and other countries. I'm sure we all remember when she had the Thrift-Way store in- Lakemoor. Jenny reports that she is having a wonderful time. . We have noticed that Henry ' Hbppert and Claude\ M<iDermott repaired the beach posts on the big beach. They were in pretty b&d condition. Nice job. fellas. The McHenry Bible church in Lakemoor is v having a mother and daughter supper Friday night at 6:30 p.m. at the church. The price is fifty cents per plate. Mrs. Lyda Diedrich's sons found a pair of children's reading glasses with speckled frames by the channel in Lakemoor while they were fishing: The glasses are in a grey case. Mrs. Gannon and mother, Mrs. Weber, of Lakemoor just returned Thursday, from spending very enjoyable two weeks down in Hot Springs. They report that when they left here it was cold and raining and down there the flowers and the weather were just as if it was July. The crily regret they have is that they couldn't have stayed a little longer. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Turner of Lakemoor have returned from their vacation in Florida and have opened the 120 Club again. Welcome home, folks. Some of the girls have been asking about Mrs. Eunice Tobey of Lilymoor. They have missed seeing her about and her wonderful entertaining that she is so well known for. I've found t>ut what's keeping her busy. She is helping the needy and the ill at the Villa nursing home and it takes a great deal of her time. She deserves a lot of praise for doing such worthwhile work. Let's hope we see more of her soon. / Mr. und Mrs. Floyd Goss Of Lakemoor entertained Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Looke and daughter. Anita, of Milwaukee, over the weekend. Thomas Fleming of 'French Mcrraco was a guest at the Claude, McDermott home last week. Mrs. Vivian Vineer and , Mrs. Arthur Levand and son, Danny, of Lakemoor went into Chicago last Thursday to see the "Welcome Traveler" show. They had a wonderful time. Marge reports that Danny was so anxious to go and then promptly fell asleep through the whole time the show was on television. Edward Kamin and Stewart Clark of Lakemoor entertained friends from Chicago on Sunday just before their friends left for California. Lucky people. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Perry and three children from Fort Sheridan spent the weekend at the Ehrhardt home in Lakemoor. The party Saturday night for the installation of village officials was, in the opinion of many, the largest and most successful ever held here. In the absence of Dr. Lf W. Krieger, who was called out of . town. Joseph Wayhne, the village attorney, officiated as master of ceremonies. His wit and humor contributed to a most enjoyable evening. The many baskets of flowers, messages of congratulations and the tables laden with the best food by the ladies of Lakemoor, were a pleasure to beheld.
