WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable, necessary and for the best Interests of the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois, and its inhabitants that in order to promote, protect and safeguard the public health, there be constructed additional sewerage disposal treatment facilities to the existing sewer system of said City; and / WHEREAS, this Mayor and City Council have heretofore received from the engineers employed by the City for that purpose an estimate of the cost of said improvements in the aggregate sum . of $ai0,000; and ,, WHEREAS, said City proposes to finance the cost Of constructing said improvements by an issue of Water and Sewer Revenue Bonds in the sum of $150,000, and by borrowing the sum of $160,000 by an issue of bonds to be payable from the levy of taxes, and before such •bonds may be issued the question of tho issue thereof must be submitted to and approved by a majority of the elector^ of said CSty voting on said question at an election called for that purpose. NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois, as follows: Section 1. That it is hereby determined to be in the interests of the public health and welfare of the inhabitants of this City of McHenry that there be constructed additional sewerage disposal treatment facilities to the existing sewer system of said City. Section 2. That there be borrowed by, for, and on behalf of said City the sum of $160,000 for the purpose of paying part of the cost of constructing such improvements to the existing sewer system of said City, and that to evidence said loan negotiable bonds of said City be issued, to be designated "Sewer Improvement Bonds," in the principal amount of $160,000, and to mature serially on January 1 in each of the years and in amounts as follows: $ 5,000 10,000 1958 through 1961 1962 through 1975 bearing interest at a rate not to exceed Two and Three-fourths Per Cent (2% 7c) per annum, payable semiannually. Section 3. That the question of issuing said bonds in the principal sum of $160,000 for the construction of improvements to the existing sewer system of said City be submitted to the legal voters of said City at a special election which is hereby called to be held in and for said City on June 21st, 1955, between the hours of 6 o'clock ajn. and 5 o'clock p.m. of said day, and for the purpose of said special election said City shall constitute three (3) election wards, and the polling places shall be as follows: V First Ward: Polling Place: Second Ward: Polling Place: Third Ward: Polling Place: City Hall Green Street McHenry, Illinois Buss Motor Sales Garage 531 Main Street McHenry, Illinois A.
