Elsewhere on this page you will find a complete schedule of games. We suggest that each boy clip a schedule out of the paper and keep it in a place where he can readily refer to it. All rained out games will be played at the end of the season. Parents are urged to see that their boys attend practice regularly^- The new uniforms will be given out next week, and we cannot issue uniforms 11 to boys who don't attend practice. Thanks to the efforts of several civic minded people the park will be ready5 in a short while. Indications are that McHenry will have one of the finest Little League parks in Northern Illinois. In future years we hope to hold tournaments here. Little League teams from all over the United States play in tournaments which eventually lead to & Little World Series. It is a wonderful experience for all the players. Next week we will have more information concerning the dedication of the park on July 6. Everyone interested "in this affair should be there. Everyone is anxious to see the outcome of this game as this team is on the order of the Lockport girls, who beat our Speedettes in all their games last season. As the season progresses, the teams get tougher, and it will be interesting to see just how much our girls have learned and just how good or improved they are over last season. The Rockford Koeds also have some ex-pro ball players on their team, seasoned veterans' with plenty of know how. If our girls can beat this team, we have definitely started on our way. The Rockford Koeds are the girls, if you remember last season, who startled our team by coming to play in pleated skirt uniforms, very similar to the Admiral girls pro ball players' uniforms. However, that didn't hamper them one bit in sliding, running, or any part of their game. They play heads up ball and if the Speedettes can continue to play as good as they have in the last two games, the Koeds might go back to Rockford with a loss. Our girls" will sure try to beat them.
