The auxiliary is * grateful to everyone for their donations and help in making this party a success. Young Bowlers We are happy to report that three of the children of Lakemoor received trophies. They were Jimmy and Betty Lee Becker and Eleanor Kay Wirfs. The bowling was sponsored by the _ .wanis club for children 10 years and older. McHenry Bible Church „ Movies were enjoyed by many on Sunday at the Masonic hall. Movies will be shown every fourth Sunday at 8 p.m. Parents and children and friends are welcome to attend. rift P*TA* V The Lily Lake P.T.A. meeting will be held on Thursday, March 1, at 8 p.m. at the schoolhouse. Happy To Hear We were happy to hear that Cleveland Wade is home after spending four months at Downey hospital. He is feeling much better, but will have to spend some time in the wheel chair. Mrs. Earl Dowell, their daughter, and family welcomed him home by bringing with them a complete Sunday diftner. We wish you much speed for yourvecovery. (Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. C. Hyatt, Sr., celebrated their thirty-eighth wedding anniversary on Saturday, Feb. 25. We wish you both many more happy years together. Scouts The yearly Cub Scout blue and gold dinner was held at the Methodist church last Sunday. Attending the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. E. Bolda and family, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Para and family, Mr. and Mrs. Rogers and family, Mr. and Mrs. H. Foss and family, Mr and Mrs. Hatch and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wall and family and Mr. and, Mrs. Sossong and family. Ricky Foss received a Wolf badge, Gold Arrow and bars for assistant denner. James Hansen received a den chief cord, Michael Hatch, denner* s stripe, and Butch Sossong carried the colors in retreat. Pinochle Club The pinochle club met at the home of Mrs. Ronnie Romkowske last Monday. A delicious luncheon was served and prizes were won by Mrs. Claire Forbes, Helen Para and .Ann Bplda. The ladies also helped' Dorothy Wrublewski celebrate her, birthday that day. Thursday Socials The Thursday night socials are being held at Wally's Oasis every Thursday at 8:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend. Teen Dance t)n Sunday, Feb. 19, about fifty 'teen-agers hacl a wonderful time at their dance. Refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Frank O'Leary, the chaperones, enjoy these dances as much as the young people. The next dance wil be held on Sunday, March 11, and anyone 13' years or older are welcome. Ladies League • The Ladies League will have a meeting on Wednesday, March 7, at 8, p.m. Social hour will follow1 meeting, ' Here and There Mr. and Mrs. Frank Harder enjoyed the company of their daughter, Mrs. Ann Louise Tetrow, and family last Sunday. It was nice to see Ed Kamin and Stewart Clark out this past weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Marty Wrublewski attended the wedding of Marty's niece, Deanne Christensen. Deanne became the bride of Bruce Damschroder of Chicago on Thursday, Feb. 23. Mr. and Mrs. Bern Volk and five children were weekend guests at the Steadman home. Also on Sunday, guests at the Steadman home were Ed's mother, Mrs. Ida Steadman, Mrs. Rose Bfcchofcs and Mrs. Lorraine Mattes and daughter, Carol. Jen McDermott's niece, Myrna Morrison, of Danville, 111., will be spending a few weeks at the McDermott home. Mr. and Mrs.' J. Cleary of Proctor, Minn., visited with the McDermotts on their- way home from a vacation in Florida. MJA Cleary is Mae's sister. Over-all goal of the drive has been set at $522,000, the amount needed to operate the educational non-profit station through the spring of 1957.
