There were friends from all the surrounding towns and also from the Highlands. A few more house parties would help occupy the time of some of our young* sters and also keep them close to home. All the time and gifts , that were donated were very much appreciated by everyone. • Weekend Guests . At least that's what it was to have been. On August 3, Marge Schulz and her girl friend, Agnes Ligenza. came out to spend the weekend with Marge's cousin, Lorraine Hurckes, and ended up by staying until Monday, Aug. 13. They were accepted and treated so nice by the young folks of our community that they just didn't want to return home. We're looking forward to another visit from the girls real soon. Farewell . Those were the sad words spoken Monday, Aug. 13. when Mr. and Mrs. R. Jordan left their home to move back to Champaign. Although we were all sorry to see them leave, we also realize that due to health reasons there was no alternative but to return to Champaign. Before leaving, Mrs. Jordan was guest of honor at a party given by a few of the neighbors. The welcoming committee presented them with a plant on the 'same day. We hope to hear from the Jordans from time to time and we are also looking forward to seeing them. wher. t-they come up to visit their daughter" and hir family, MT." «nd JMrS.
