Xmas In November Yes, the Christmas spirit was in the home of Mr." and Mrs. John Pechous when their son, Aviation- Electronics Techifician 3rd Class Jack Pechous, came home from Mississippi on a 15- day-leave. Jack is on his way to Hawaii and will not be home for the .holidays, so there, was a family gathering at his folks home for a turkey dinner with the trimmings. Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. James Pechous of Pistakee Bay, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Pechous of Round Lake Park, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Johnson of Pistakee Highlands, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Pechous of Pistakee Highlands, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Freund, McHenry, and many other friends and relatives. The Corcorans will return to the Highian-Js sometime in April and we w.il be looking forward to seeing them ..again at that time. Vacation??? Vacation or hot, the work must get done. Chief fire control technician HaroldPeterson is on a 7-day leave and is looking forward to going back to the base. I don't blame him at all after tiling floors, sanding floors and laying cement all around the hotise. I'd want to go back to work to rest up, wouldn't you? Among all these other chores, Mr. Peterson has his own little business which keeps him going also. It was conducted by the American History class, under the direction of Mr. Kalk. The purpose of the election was to see how many people would vote and also if anyone, didn't know how to vote this was the chance to learn. The Republicans won with 327 votes. The Democrats had 79 votes. This was only 60 per cent of the student body and teachers voting. Class Play The junior class hasT been selling tickets for their play this past week. The play is a comedy "Stardust" and is under the direction of Miss Zender. If anyone would like to purchase tickets, contact the play cast or they will be on sale tomorrow night, Friday, Nov. 9, at the entrance to the auditorium. The purpose was to learn a few cheers and then to do something different since it was our last football game. There the members called for the' Warrior team and coaches until they came outside. When they arrived outside, they were greeted with a rousing cheer for the good work they had done all season.
