NAMED SUPERINTENDENT ^The appointment of t>r. Joseph A^baum as superintendent of the Lincoln State school at Lincoln has been announced by Gov. William G. Stratton. Dr. Albaum has been serving as acting superintendent of the school for the past year. COUNTY BOARD &EEKS FINANCIAL RELIEF BY LEGISLATION The board of supervisors has taken initial steps in seeking financial "relief through legislation. It is sought, they' say, because limitations as imposed by state legislation has becofne too restricting, due to" the increased cost of government, and the result is a handicap to the economy of a number of levying bodies, resulting in their curtailment of some functions. A resolution, referred to the legislation committee, asks that emergency action be taken to alleviate the condition by making into law such legislation as may be required to allow the tax levying bodies to provide sufficient funds for normal needs of government. One suggestion was that legislation -might be set up so the county > could get the one-half cent sales tax from businesses outside the corporate limits of towns and villages much the way these municipalities now secure the one-half' cent tax within their corporate limits.
