All are welcome to begin the new year right by attending church on ,this first Sunday. The "Women of the Church" will meet Monday evening, Jan. 6, at 8, and all ladies are welcome to attend. Two films will be «own at this meeting. One is the rely cartoon entitled "The Candlemaker", which is the story of a boy and how he grows up to his responsibilities. The other film is "The Living. (1R62-1925) News Briefs Christmas cards bring news of former residents, such as Mike and Phyllis Burt, formerly of Wonder Center^ who write from Denver* Colo, that daughter Lee was married during the year. Phyllis, who suffered a heart attack a year ago, says her health is still precarious. Dick and Hazel Von Bampus, formerly of Shore Hills, are now living in Orlanclo, Fla. Their fifth child and second boy was born last spring. Dick is the brother of Virginia Montleone, and the Joe Montleones are now living in Miami News from the Warren ,Tallmans in Fort Worth is that Del is still president of the League of Women Voters in that city, son Jack is a student at Texas A & M. Mrs. Joe Benes of Shore Hills came home in time for Christmas. She was discharged from the Mennonite hospital at Bloomington, 111., two weeks before, following an operation for cataracts. Jim will be entertaining Faye Bainter and Anew McMaster, the great Irish actor, in Chicago, Jan. 6, after the opening of their play. The Gail Wredes were attenddants at the wedding of Pat's brother, Lynn Patrick, to. Miss Joyce Hardaker at Muckwanagp, Wis., Dec. 28. Yonth - Fellowship The senior youth fellowship group planned to meet at the Lutheran parish house last Sunday for an evening of New Year's plans--taking inventory of one's self and playing some games. The group enjoyed going carolling the Sunday before Christmas and many were the shut-ins who enjoyed their music. All the 'teenagers and the oldsters, too, enjoyed a spaghetti supper at the home of Sue Johonnott afterwards. Christmas.
