The new address is 210 Prairie Ave., Libertyville. Mrs. Wanda Senter and daughter, Sandy, are readying the former Passal home and will move'in i --shortly, if they haven't already. Wanda has long wanted her own place, and this one filled the bill perfectly. The Senters will have no trouble visiting the rest of the Crick family for they are only two blocks away. Nice, huh? Prizes were awarded, to Mrs. Oscar Berg, Mrs, Lizzie Thompson and Mrs. Helen Young. Average monthly enrollment during the past school year for special education classes for the educable mentally handicapped jn the public schools of McHenry county was twenty-seven, according to Vernon L. Nickel!, state superintendent of public instruction. Total amount of claims for the program previously approved for McHenry county was $4,036.34, Nickell said. This claim wias part of the statewide claim of $1,607,667.23 which has been paid by the state pursuant to the Illinois School Code. The statewide average monthly enrollment last year in the special classes for the educable mentally handicapped was 7,515.15. ' The average monthly enrollment figure for these classes for 1956-57 in McHenry county was greater than the county's enrollment figure for the preceding year of 1955-56, which Nickell said was twenty-four. Claims paid by the state to McHenry county for the 1955-56 classes for the educable mentally handicapped amounted to 3,909.03. This was a part of a 1955-56 statewide claim of $1,- 748,872.42, Nickell added. A total of forty counties were included in the 1956-57 state reimbursement for excess costs, with only Bureau, Kankakee and Marion counties not included in the 1955-56 reimbursement. Two of the thirty-nine included in the 1955-56 program were not included in the 1956-57 reimbursement, Nickell concluded.
