LEO M. YOUNG AUCTION McHenry State Bank, Clerking Jan. 20, the auxiliary of McHenry Post 491 held thetr regular monthly meeting, president Lauretta Homo presiding. Guest speakers for the evening were Harold Vycital, chairman Ernie Zimny, *bugle instructor, and John Zimny', drum instructor for the SAL Drum and Bugle Corp. They reported on the progress being made by the corp and what they hope to accomplish in the coming year. Their aim is to participate in as many parades as possible, including the National convention parade in Chicago. Also to enter the corp in competition when advisable. The auxiliary gave them a sizeable donation towards the purchase of new uniforms needed if they are to look their best when representing our post in parade. A marionette show is being sponsored by the SAL Drum and Bugle Corp to also help defray the expense of new uniforms. "Pinocchio" performed by the Reed Marionettes, will be presented Saturday, Feb. 8 at the McHenry high school auditorium ait 1 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. If you haven't purchased your tickets yet, be sure to do so.
