March came in like the roaring lion but let's to our newest neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mann who have moved into their new home on Grandview Drive. % % NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION McHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all legal voters of McHenry County that at a special election to be held in and for Said County, on the 8th day of April, 1958, there will be submitted to the legal voters of McHenry County the following proposition: Shall the County of 'McHenry, Illinois, issue its County Home Bonds in the principal amount of $285,000 for the purpose of constructing an additional building with all necessary equipment therefor to The McHenry County Home at Hartland, Illinois, In and for said County, and shall an additional annual tax be levied upon all the taxable property in said County of two and three-quarter cents ($.0275), or so much' thereof as may be necessary, on each One Hundred Dollars ($100) of assessed valuation of taxable property in said County for each of the years 1958 through 1965, to provide for the payment of the principal of and interest on said bonds, said additional annual tax to be in excess of the tax permitted to be levied annually for County purposes without an election, and to be in addition to and in excess of all other taxes authorized or permitted to be levied by said County within the constitutional limitation of Seventy-five Cents ($.75) per One Hundred Dollars ($100) valuation of taxable property, said bonds to be dated May 1, 1958, i and to be due in numerical order on December 1 in each of the years as follows: $30,000 -- 1959 35,000 -- 1960 through 1964 40,000 -- 1965 and 1966 bearing interest at the rate of, not to exceed 3%% per anntim all as provided by a resolution of £he Board of Supervisors of McHenry County adopted on the 11th day of February, 1958? - .Said special election will be held, in each of the several election precincts of said County and at the polling places heretofore established by the Board of Supervisors of said County for general elections as follows: Prec.
