An old timer is a feller who can remember the days when a woman stayed home if she had nothing to wear. "Raintree County" is the story of a young American's dream of greatness, in a day when America herself was young -- just before the War Between the States. Symbolizing this dream is a legendary Raintree which he seeks in the swamps Of his native Indiana. / Here, directly from the sound track of MGM's "Raintree County", you will hear about-this tree. Nigel Patrick, picnicking with his high school class ^beside a swiftly-running stream, tells of this American legend. 4f "But there's another tree, not of gold, but of fulfillment, whose flower is accomplishment and whose fruit is love, whose ways are the ways of pleasantness, and whose paths all lead to fJeace. Find that tree and you'll find greatness. "in every land, in every language, poets have sung of this tree. And we in Indiana have our own myth about it -- it's the tree from Which our County takes its name." 5 days -- Fri. thru Wed., Mar. 28 thru Apr. 2 at the McHenry Theatre. Adv.
