However upon leaving Virginia, the Cutlers toured e southern states of North d South Carolina,. Georgia, Florida, Mississippi and up to the Chicago area via Tennessee and Kentucky. In fact '4- thus far, they have travelled farther north and south than east to west. The Cutlers lived in Lilymoor until June 1956 when Don took a new positioh. Their home in Lilymoor is presently occupied by the Leonard Pullians. Lilymoor Association , The next' regular meeting of the association will be held next Tuesday evening, April 8, at the schoolhouse. Residents will receive postcards after the time of this writing. Of course, next Tuesday is also primary election day, so ft is hoped that everyonfe will still have enough civic enthusiasm to attend the meeting. The directors of the association met on Tuesday, March 25, to discuss matters whieh will come before fhe general membership. There will- be a report on the stray dog situation. Family Birthday Mrs. Art Loveless, the former Joy Franks, i celebrated her' recent birthday with a family party held at her home iri Fritsches Estates on Sunday. March 23, Her guests included her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Franks, Virginia Borgan, Judy Watson and Duane Watson. The latter two came from Mount Prospect for the day. Three David Counley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Counley, was 3 years old on Sunday, Mar. 23. Four Birthday greeting to Robin Jean Flynn wh.) was 4 on Saturday. March 22. Robin is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Flynn of Lilymoor. Six Miss Marlene Karmel really believes in stretching out her birthday. She was 6 (minus a few front teeth making this official! on March 17. On that day she enjoyed taking favors to school to share \yith her kindergarten' .class, which is 'the thing to do' with that age group. Then on Sunday, she was quite the lady when she was the honoree at a dinner party. She had a four tiered pink birthday cake her mother made and served to seventeen relatives of Chicago. Ladies Night Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hueckstaedt were among the seventy- fi veeouples -who attended the third annual ladies night banquet .given by the Methodist Men's club of the Community Methodist churcn. Mr. Hueckstaedt is serving the Methodist Men's club of the Community Methodist church. Mr. Hueckstaedt is serving the Methodist men as president for the current year and presided Tuesday evening as M.C. An original skit was presented by the Wittrock players and later the group enjoyed the film, "Reaching from Heaven." Entertains Pinochle Club Mr. and Mrs. Ben Segermark entertained members of the Chicago pinochle club at their home.,, TTiose present included Lucille and John Rosenmier, Irene arid Pete Dehlinger, Doris and; Elmer Young, Min and Ken Murphy, Sherry Rogers, and Lee Wright, all of Chicago. Joe and Mary were special guests for the evening. Lee Wright provided the music with his one man concert on a combination of drums and percussion instruments. Report "Improved" I am glad to report that Mrs. Jean Czajkowski is much improved after her recent accident. Since she is not fully recovered, Jean is under doctor's care. * Maurice Haines is improving and by the time this goes to print he expects to have returned to his work. • He has spent the last few weeks convalescing a^ his home on South Avenue. We're sure Helen kept the flowers blooming for him from her greenhouse. Family Visit Mr. and Mrs. Sam Dentro and family of Chicago, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Edward Czajowski in Lilymoor last Sunday. Jean was glad to see hey son and. his wife, Ruth, 6s well as her four- Voung grandsons, Alan; Sam Jr., Elmer and Edward Dentro. ' . Elmwood Park Visitor Mrs. Martha Chamblin of Elmwood Park was a welcome guest at the Schueler home on March 14. La Verne and Martha were good friends when they lived in Elmwood Park. Canasta Club Mrs. Lee Bassi attended her canasta club on Wednesday, March 25, at one p.m. in the home of Mrs. Robert Bruc, Waukegan Road, McHenry. Happened la '5S Mr. and Mrs. Victor Bassi, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. John R. Schmitt of McHenry had a bit in common on Saturday, March 29. 'fhey were both , at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Bassi,,Jr. in Cooney Heights as uroud grandparents. The occasion was the «birthday dinner party given in honor of their mutual grandson, John Bassi, on his fourth birthday. Master John had his party with his peers on Thursday and at that time fifteen children gathered around his birthday cake and sang 'happy birthday.' The Newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Mark Dodd came to visit with his parents, the Frank Dodds of Lilymoor, on Feb. 3 and stayed two and a half weeks. Firemen Out Four Times Due to grlss fires, volunteers of station No. 3 were called out four times this past week. Friday morning at Holiday Hills and in the afternoon to Fritzsches Estates. On Saturday they answered two calls one in Lilymoor and one at Kent Acres. Our boys can reach you within minutes, but do Warn all residents, to use extra care in! burning loaves and rubbish that could cause a considerable amount of damage.
