From Richmond Cindy Jackson is a camper. Pastor Carlson is business manager of the camp. It is located in front of the drug store and has several pickups a day. The daily pickups are 7 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m., on Saturdays, 7 a.m., 1:30 p.m and 3 p.m. On Sundays and holidays there are no pickups. Surprise Party Last Friday night the junior youth fellowship had a farewell surprise party for Rev. and Mrs. Ralph Noyce. The party was planned and engineered by a few of the eighth grade members of the group. Grace church was the place the party was held. Pfeggy Gunderson and Sandra Schlosser, with some help from their mothers, made a large cake which served as the edible centerpiece for the occasion. The cake was decorated with pink and white icing. On the cake was written--"Thanks Best Wishes. Good Luck" and a cross was made of pink frosting too. On either side of the "cake were two bowls of pink peonies with pink candles standing in them. The young people presented the Noyces with a travelling alarm clock to take with them wheri they retire from the Community church next month. Boy Scouts The Boy Scouts camped out on the Eldredge lawn last Friday night, cooked their supper and made their breakfast. They enjoyed themselves arid rose very early Saturday morning. Visitors from The North On Tuesday of last week the Ned Morgansons were visitors in Richmond. Mr. Morganson was the former high school coaclf and Mrs. Morganson taught the fourth grade at the Richmond grade school. Late last summed the Morgansons left for Alaska where Mr. Morganson taught at the high school in Palmer this past year. They returned to the states for Mr. Morganson is going to work on his master's degree at Kalamazoo, Mich. With the two teachers was the little Miss Kandi Morganson, not quite 4 months old who was born in Alaska. She has travelled, more than a t h o u s a n d m i l e s f o r e v e r y month she is old. The Morgansons ^called at several places in Richmond, the D. Sheldons, the A. Haraldsens, the G. Meyers, the H. Carlsons and some others. Here and There The Loyals of Grace church are planning a wiener roast at Big Foot Park on Lake Geneva next Saturday evening. The senior youth fellowship group will have a steak fry at the parish house this Sunday evening. Sunday callers at the H. Carlson home were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Goos and daughter, Julie, of Carbondale, and Miss Louise Goos of Chicago. Miss Diana Winn with her aunt flew to Washington, D.C., this week. The trip was a graduation present to Diana from her aunt. Bridal Shower Miss Shirley Boelter was the guest of honor at a bridal shower held at the home of Mrs. Cary Beall of Richmond Sunday evening. Shirley will be married at Lake Geneva Saturday to Jim Beall of Richmond. A Little Girl Mr. and Mrs. Charles Beall are the parents of a baby girl born last Saturday night. The baby's maternal grandmother is Mrs. Ted Stermer «f Richmond and the paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. S. Beall of Richmond. The little girl has two brothers, Bruce and Bradley. Vacationers Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Hoffman and children are vacationirig near Green Bay, Wis., this week. We hope they are having sunshine and warm weather.
