Burton Birthdays Members of the "10-Gaugers" hunting club surprised Jim LaGrcca on his birthday with a handsomely decorated cake picturing a hunter with his dog and his gun. They took Jim unawares while he was working, and then stayed to finish out an evening of fun and merriment. Tuesday, June 24, was the third birthday of Leo, the little leprechaun of the George Burns family. Tho' he couldn't care less, his sister spent hours making and decorating a birthday cake, that his five brorhers made short work of. Wonder Woods had two birthday celebrants on June 17. Little Kurt Ellsworth shared his cake with mom and dad, Betty and Harry, brother Mike, sister Cheryl and a little girl friend who is staying with them for a visit. The president, Evelyn Harrison called the meeting to order with the 4-H pledge. On July 8, Local Achievement will be held at the Harrison school for all Wonder Lake and Ringwood 4-H clubs. Exact time will be given later. Karen Schmelzer gave several talks on "Room Improvements". Pat Hogan gave a talk on "Cuts". Yvonne Bruce told how to be safe on a bicycle.
